Eligibility:
You may qualify for TRiO if:
- You are a citizen or national of the United States, or meet the residency requirements for Federal student financial assistance.

- You are a UM-Helena degree seeking student enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours per regular semester, or has the objective of completing 18 or more credit hours per year, or are accepted at UM-Helena in the next academic term with the intention of doing one of the two previously mentioned types of attendance.

- You are in need of academic support, as determined by this program, in order to successfully pursue a post-secondary educational program.

- You meet at least one of the following criteria:
- First Generation College Student: Neither of your parents or adoptive parents earned a Bachelor's degree before you were 18 years of age.
- Qualify as Low Income per federal guidelines. Verification of taxable income is necessary by submitting a copy of the previous tax year's 1040/1040A/1040EZ forms or by providing documentation from the UM-Helena Financial Aid office.
- Have a documented disability. You can document your disability with UM-Helena Disability Services at 406-444-2766 and obtain the guidelines for receiving accommodations.
