The Network Technology Classes offered at UM-Helena primarily use the Cisco web based curriculum covering the principles and practice of designing, building, and maintaining computer networks. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics from basic hands-on networking skills such as terminating, pulling, and testing cable, to the complex concepts of intermediate level WAN and LAN routing, switching and network trouble-shooting. These classes are not distance education classes.

UM-Helena Cisco CCNA and CCNP Classes (ID Required):
Classes 1 through 4 of the program provide students with a basic foundation in networking. Students who successfully complete this portion of the program are eligible to receive a discount voucher for the CCNA exam. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is achieved

by taking the CCNA exam.
