Let's Control It
Required Alcohol Server TrainingIf you serve or sell alcohol in Montana, you need to be able to recognize and prevent intoxication in others. This program is required for bartenders, owners, managers, servers, and bouncers. Learn to detect the signs of intoxication, intervene effectively to prevent any alcohol-related problems, and identify underage persons to help limit the access to alcohol for youth.
The “Let’s Control It” curriculum is a product of the Montana Department of Revenue and participants will receive a certificate of completion to present to employers.

Culinary Classes
Ideal for those who aspire to work in a great restaurant, cook fantastic meals at home, and everyone in between! Jennifer Beausoleil, a local Certified Executive Chef, shares her skills and knowledge with you! The classes will be broken down into several blocks of instruction, each focusing on a different method or skill for the kitchen. For each class, you will need to have most of the items listed in our “Culinary Toolkit” and several food items. You will be taking most of your completed projects home for you and your family to enjoy.
Knife Skills and MoreWith a special emphasis on knife skills, this class is the real kickoff to get you thinking (and cooking) like a chef! Learn which knife to select, sharpening, basic vegetable cuts, some decorative cuts, safety and efficiency. You will also work with major household machinery, discuss and practice mise en place (the importance of preparation in cooking), and sanitation.

Soups, Stocks and Sauces
The basics and more! Perfect your gravies, cheese sauces and broths. We will construct from scratch and discuss the modern modifications that are often used in restaurants today.

NEW! Commercial Driver's License Training
We are proud to be partnering with Route 93 Trucking, who have taught CDL Truck Driver Training in Montana for over eleven years. Truck driving jobs are varied - having a Commercial Driver’s License in your pocket opens up many career opportunities.
This class will be divided into two sections: classroom instruction and one-on-one truck driving instruction. The classroom portion will last 32 hours, and will cover general knowledge, air brakes, combination vehicles, tankers, backing, corners, defensive driving, alcohol and drug awareness, and log books. There will be exams on each subject, along with final preparation exams. All books and classroom materials are included with class tuition. Students should expect one to two hours of homework and/or self-study per evening after class on their own.
The one-on-one driving portion of the class will be scheduled as 3 consecutive eight-hour days (300-400 miles) with the instructor. This will include pre-trip inspections, backing, shifting and cornering skills. This one-on-one opportunity with an instructor with over 25 years of experience driving all types of commercial vehicles is the cornerstone of Route 93 Trucking's program. Call for more information!

Online Water Resources Courses
The Water Resource program is a career-technical curriculum. A student is able to take individual offerings for professional development (based on qualifications/prerequisites) or may enroll in the full program as a degree-seeking student. There are two Associates of Science degrees: A two-year Associate of Applied Science in Water Quantity and a two-year Associate of Applied Science in Water Quality. Courses taken through Continuing Education (not for credit) can help to further an individual's current career in Water Resources.
A degree in Water Quantity or Water Quality will prepare a student to work as a water specialist dealing with a variety of water issues, including evaluation of water use patterns, recommended water efficiency techniques, use of GIS and map interpretation, water collection and analysis, interpretation of water policies, technical report writing, and field methodologies.

Course start date and enrollment deadline: Tuesday, January 17.Courses have weekly participation requirements and work deadlines, but all work is done online on the student's own schedule.
Course end: May 4.
Tuition: $285 plus $10 online fee.
Financial aid is not available to non-credit students. If interested in pursuing a degree in either Water Resource program, please contact admissions.
Students completing one or more of these classes for professional development may be eligible to receive college credit for their work. Application for credit must be received within one calendar year of course completion. Additional fees will apply. Please call for information.
