Stress Management

This class will offer insight into what stress does to the human body and offer methods and practice to diminish stress. You will begin by learning more about what stress is, and the class will lead to individualized practices for you to change thoughts and behaviors that contribute to stress and manage situations as they arise. The instructor has taught a similar class for college credit and has a degree in Psychology, is an active community volunteer, as well as a fourth-dregree black belt in martial arts.

American Sign Language for Beginners

Have you always wanted (or NEEDED) to learn American Sign Language? Learn beginning signs and basic grammar, and establish a strong foundation for the visual and gestural elements of the language. There will also be a strong empasis on Deaf culture and discussion of common misconceptions about the language and the culture. The instructor works as an interpreter, family advisor, and communications facilitator for deaf children and families.
